Is cúis mór áthais dom trí dea-scéil a roinnt libh!

1. Is dócha go bhfuil an tigh-súgradh nua tugtha faoi deara agaibh sa chlós. Bhuaigh páiste i rang na Naíonáin Mhóra é sin don scoil! D’éirigh le hElise Ní Shúilleabháin i Rang Selina comórtas ealaíne Bernardos a bhuachaint ag deireadh na bliana seo chaite! Chomhghairdeas mór leat Elise agus go raibh maith agat!

2. Bhronn “Fundraising for Jayden” gléas dífhibrileoir ar an scoil. Ba cheann des na spriocanna a bhí ag an bhfeachtas tiomsú airgid ná dífhibrileoir a cheannach don scoil. Áis dochreidte iontach is ea é seo le bheith sa scoil. Tá súil againn go léir nach mbeidh orainn é a úsáid riamh ach ar a laghad anois táimid ullamh, más gá.

3. D’éirigh leis an scoil €359.63 a bhailiú don Trick or Treat for Temple St. Maith sibh agus go raibh maith agaibh. Beidh bailiúcháin eile againn ar an 16ú Samhain 2018 don KYSS. Lá gan éide scoile dos na paistí. Tá brón orm faoin mbailiú ar fad – ní raibh an ceann KYSS beartaithe ach is gá tacú le feachtais áitiúla agus is fiú go mór é an ceann seo. Beidh sos againn go dtí aimsir na Nollag ansan.

Three pieces of good news: (In no particular order of course…)

1. I presume you have noticed the new playhouse in the clós. A child in Senior Infants won it for the school! Elise Ní Shúilleabháin, in Selina’s class, won the Bernardos art competition at the end of last year! A big congratulations to Elise and thank you!

2. “Fundraising for Jayden” donated a mobile defibrillator to the school. Raising money to buy a defibrillator for the school was one of the aims of their fundraising campaign. We all hope that we will never have to use it but, at least, we are ready if there is a necessity.

3. The school collected €359.63 for the Trick or Treat for Temple St. Well done and thank you. We will have another collection on the 16th November ’18 for KYSS (Kinsale Youth Support Services). The children will have a no-uniform day for €2 in school. I’m sorry about all the collections – The KYSS collection wasn’t on our initial plan but we need to support local causes and let’s face it, it’s a very worthwhile service. We will have a break on charitable contributions until Christmas then.
