Effí travelled to Madrid with 20 others from the Cork Kuk Sool Won School (Korean Martial Arts) to represent team Ireland. She competed in 3 disciplines, demonstrating her techniques and sparring with competitors from 24 other schools across Europe. Her school came third overall with a total of 62 medals across all age groups. Effie, the only girl in her age group and youngest competitor, won 2 Silver medals and 1 Bronze.
